Juliana Olayode, the Nollywood actress popularly known as Toyo Baby, says her mother usually prays to God to give her a husband.
The 26-year-old actress revealed her mum’s prayer request via her Instastory on Wednesday.
She said her mother ended the prayer with a request for a husband for her when she called her for the usual monthly prayer.
“Nigerian mothers and prayers and husband are 5&6. I was on the phone with my mum some minutes ago, for the usual first day of the month prayer,” the actress wrote.
“And she ended her prayer by saying, ‘oko rere ni Olorun a ba mi fun e’. Which means ‘God will give you a husband’.”
Olayode’s love life is shrouded in complete secrecy. She has always withheld information about her relationships.
In 2017, she had narrated how she was sexually assaulted and “deflowered” by her teacher at 17.
Olayode’s revelation comes at about the same time when Eucharia Anunobi, another actress, said she is in search of a husband “urgently”.
“I use this opportunity and tell the world that I want to marry urgently. A great man should show himself and put a ring on this finger of mine. My specification is a man who is God-fearing and handsome,” the actress said.
“He must be up to the task, having everything that makes a man male. You must be complete, that’s all I can say.”
