Queen AYO BALOGUN's Manager's Daughter MAYOWA Weds

Amidst pomp and pageantry, Oluwamayowa Samuel, the daughter of Mr Adegboyega Samuel Osolo got married on Saturday, May 21, 2022 to the man of her dreams, Oladapo Akomolafe in Lagos.

The event held at the Event Center, Agidingbi, Ikeja. Top Nigerians were in attendance. Some of the biggest names spotted at the event were the Lagos Police Commissioner, CP Abiodun Alabi, HRH Kabiyesi Adeola Erinle and Olori Aderonke Erinle, top officials of the Nigerian Immigration Services, Lagos Command among several others.

The colours of the day were bronze, peach, chocolate, gold and white. The different colours made the event stand out, unique and very colourful too. Many society men and women were spotted in the expensive Aso-Ebi. There was also more than enough to eat and drink.

MEET THE PARENTS OF THE COUPLE

The bride’s father is Mr Adegboyega Samuel Osolo from Igbara-Oke, Ondo State. Mrs Osolo Samuel, the bride’s mother hails from Igbomina, Kwara State. The marriage is obviously trans-cultural within the Yoruba nation.

The groom’s father, Mr Olaiya Komolafe's family hailed from Ikere-Ekiti while his beautiful wife is from Ijesa in Osun State. The engagement ceremony displayed the beautiful cultures of all these Yoruba states from where each parent hailed.

 

QUEEN AYO BALOGUN’S MOTHERLY ROLE REVEALED

City People gathered that popular juju musician, Queen Ayo Balogun has been playing the role of a godmother for the bride since she was a baby and this was revealed on the bride’s big day. There were so many reasons to believe that Queen Ayo Balogun and the bride are so close. One of them was the fact that the maestro was seated rightly beside the biological mother and was also playing all the roles of the mother of the bride alongside the biological mother. When it was time for the parents of the bride to pray, it was done by the three of them and when it was time to spend money, Queen Ayo Balogun was more than capable.

 

ALAGA IDURO AND IJOKO WERE GOOD

Ebonysuzie Alaga and @alagaexclusive were in charge of the engagement ceremony. They did a good job as it was fun all the way. The two Alagas are great singers and dancers and this added so much glamour to the event.

 

COUPLE’S PARENTS’ FASHION STYLE REVEALED

One could say that the parents of the couple are very fashionable. The fathers of the couple stunned in brown colour agbada and a matching cap. The mothers of the couple were well-styled in yellow and white lace with a matching brown ipele and gele. This complimented their husband’s outfits. The smiles on the faces of the couple only revealed that they were very joyous seeing their children coming together as one.

 

IT WASN’T YOUR REGULAR ENGAGEMENT LETTER DESIGN

When the engagement letters were presented, the entire guests shouted with ecstasy. It was boldly printed on a standing banner. The graphics design was top-notch. The guests had no other choice than to appreciate the ingenuity of the Alagas. Muyinat Oluwanishola read the letter and she got cash-sprayed for doing so.

 

GROOM’S FRIENDS STUN IN GREY COLOUR AGBADA

The friends of the groom needed no introduction. Their appearance already sold them out. They were all big boys who stood with their padi on his big day. Oladapo is blessed to have these rich dudes around him. They sprayed and showed love and when it was time to dance, they supplied him with all the moral support.

 

WHO IS IN THE CIRCLE?

Did you remember the game played by children in the 80s and 90s called who is in the circle? The game is chanted with a response “a little fine girl”; now that little fine girl is all grown up and getting espoused to the love of her life. When Mayowa, the bride, entered the fray, she was surrounded by her friends who were hyping her and giving her the moral support needed to beat her husband in the dance game. It was all fun. The ladies in purple didn’t disappoint.

 

DAYO AMUSAN ANCHORS RECEPTION PARTY

Many people may not be familiar with the name Dayo Amusan but definitely not the voice. He is a popular broadcaster on Bond and Faaji FM. He is known as Dayo Grandpa because of the niche he has carved for himself. Dayo is a young, energetic and dynamic anchor, compere, broadcaster and stand-up comedian. His comic relief skills came to the fore at the event. He left the guests laughing and laughing from the beginning of the reception to the end. He is simply good at what he does.

 

DJ MITCHY PEARL DIDN’T SLEEP ON IT

DJ Mitchy Pearl is popularly called the gap-tooth girl. She is a fast-rising Disc Jockey with so much vibe, skills and dancing prowess. She is one of the best in the industry and with the right opportunities such as playing at big events like this; she would make it so easily to the limelight. She handles the wheel of steel with so much passion and pride.

 

SIR MICKY BAND WAS ON THE BANDSTAND

Micheal Akinbowale is an Akure-based highlife artiste, who is already making waves on the social scene.  Micheal Akinbowale, who is popularly called Sir Micky, is another great musician who has a lovely voice and style. At a distance, away from the stage, his unique voice could make listeners wonder if the great Evang. Ebenezer Obey is on stage. This singing prowess has won the hearts of many Akure music lovers and he is daily becoming popular in the South West.

Sir Micky has travelled far and near spreading the message of his band. He has also been crowned the Asiwaju of Miliki by the great Evang Ebenezer Obey, owing to his good works. Sir Micky has successfully soared through many stages, leaving a lasting impression on his clients. He was on the bandstand at the event and he did great. His performance wowed the guests and he was richly compensated for his efforts.

 

QUEEN AYO BALOGUN AND HER GUESTS TAKE OVER THE STAGE

The dancing had been fun all the way but when Queen Ayo Balogun and her friends got involved, the fun became bigger. She was joined by HRH Kabiyesi Adeola Erinle, Olori Aderonke Erinle and a host of other highly placed society men and women.
