Acclaimed Lagos State Officials Caught On Camera Selling Vehicle Waste Baskets At N3,500

A video currently trending on social media has shown some men who claimed to be officials of the Lagos State Government arresting and allegedly extorting vehicles for carrying wrongly labeled wastebaskets in their vehicle.

In the video seen by our reporter, the men who claimed to be working with the state government were seen selling each of the wastebasket and the 'so-called' license at the rate of N3,500 each.

The wastebasket carries a sticker marked Lagos State Vehicle Waste Disposal Enforcement Agency.

While the argument was on between the officer and the alleged offender, one could hear the officer saying the wastebasket in the vehicle was issued by Ekiti State which made it an offence for a vehicle registered in Lagos.

"You are carrying Ekiti State wastebasket inside Lagos State vehicle which is wrong. The fact that you are living, working or your vehicle is in Lagos state, this is what you are supposed to be carrying, he said after initiating an arrest.
