Just In: Nollywood Yoruba Loses Another Veteran Actor, Pa Jimoh Aliu (Aworo)



Confirmed information reaching Info Online News has it that a popular Yoruba movie star, Pa Jimoh Aliu also known as Aworo is dead.


One of his sons broke the news to Info Online News via a telephone conversation.


Pa Jimoh Aliu clocked 85 in December 2019 and celebrated it in a big way.


He kicked the bucket after a brief illness, another source told City People.


A further investigation revealed that the veteran actor who completed his new movie "Ori Ite" was hypertensive until his death.


In 1959, Chief Jimoh Aliu joined the Ogungbe Theatre and remained there until 1966. With Ogungbe Theatre he toured almost all towns in old Western Region now Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti. In 1966, he left Ogungbe Theatre and formed Jimoh Aliu Concert Party. This group was based in Ikare Akoko in Ondo State.


Pa Jimoh Aliu was formerly married to his colleague and Orisabunmi star, Folake Aremu before they parted ways after 20 years of marriage. He currently has two wives – Queen Bola and Folashade.
