New Delta FA Board Set To Tackle Edema Fuludu, Others

The newly elected Board of the Delta State Football Association has described the duo of Edema Fuludu and Victor Ikpeba as shameless liars and cheap interlopers who were merely seeking relevance through sustained publicity stint.

Rising from their inaugural meeting after their election on Tuesday, 15th September, the Kenneth Nwaomucha-led Board has vowed never to be distracted by the antics of the two ex-internationals, but to hit the ground running about grassroots football development and a robust state league.

The Delta FA spokesperson, Mr. Azuka Chiemeka was reacting to a Guardian Newspaper report of Thursday, 17th September, which quoted Messrs Edema Fuludu and Victor Ikpeba as threatening a legal battle to reclaim a mandate which never existed.

'We are waiting for their court summons, and we will respond appropriately too, as a Board legitimately elected and recognized by the Nigeria Football Federation ", declared Mr Chiemeka.

As at the time of filing this report, inside sources reveal that Mr Edema Fuludu's financial infractions he committed while he acted as Delta State FA Chairman are being compiled and sent to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices & Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for investigation and prosecution.

A football stakeholder in Warri and a youth club coach, Mr Aluma Sobotie wondered why Edema Fuludu in cahoots with Victor Ikpeba are into an unholy alliance to throw spanners in the good works of the government and football-loving Deltans.

He described Edema Fuludu as jobless and a failed politician, hiding under the cloak of an ex-international, to whip public sentiment. He is not a good example of an ex-player, he summarized.
